"Happy Trails"
Sandblasted text in concrete with lithochromium stain, J R Newman Park, approximately 500 feet of sidewalk for the City of Frisco, Texas. The “Kiddie Korral” theme of the 12 acre park uses farm yard and barn yard playground infrastructure.
Six original poems are sandblasted into the delineating perimeter and interpenetrating sidewalk system.
Visitors are greeted with “Once.upon.a.time poem” that leads to five farm animal themes:
”Charlie.HORSE.Poem, “COW.abunga.Poem,” ”PIG.Tail.Poem, ”Seeing.Eye.Dog.Poem” and “Cat.Walk.Poem.” The poems are a response to the memory of how "Once.upon.a.time” this Texas farmland land was used.
